What we Believe

The name DAMP may be used in short to identify the society as an acronym which comes from dairy and meat products. The co-operative is passionate about sustainable and thriving dairy and meat industry in Zimbabwe. Our goals also go beyond the boarders creating one of the biggest dairy and meat products company in the world. Our principles are more inclusive than a private organisation. All members have a say, share in dividends and have the real opportunity to seat on the front table. Board members are groomed and trained from the members within the society.

Our core value is to look after our members by providing value and security they need most. We advocate best farming practices and adhere to all professional and farming standards and regulations. The co-operative enjoys long term agreements, low premiums, secure market and effective two way communication.

We are not doing this just for money but most importantly our economy, employment and well being of our community. Lets start now!

Why Dairy and Meat

  • Zimbabwe needs an extra 26000 dairy cows to meet its dairy requirements.

  • Meat industries have closed with the Cold Storage Commission operating at minimum.

  • The country is importing milk and meat products to supplement its requirements.

  • The society intends to cover the gap and start exporting within 5 years of operation.

  • Rural folk will be involved in job creation.
